Liposuction by Vaser

Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction UAL (Vaserlipo™)

VASER liposuction is a revolution. It allows a more “aggressive” action by the surgeon during surgery with better recovery than conventional liposuction, less edema, less bruising, and less pain. The results are spectacular and allow you to perform HD (High Definition) liposuction by redefining the muscles of your stomach. It is minimally invasive and uses ultrasound energy to break down and remove fat cells from specific areas of the body.

The VASER system emits high-frequency sound waves that create cavitation bubbles inside targeted fat cells.

These bubbles expand and contract, causing the fat cells to rupture and release their contents into the surrounding area. This liquefied fat is then sucked out of the body through a small cannula. VASER liposuction is an effective way to remove stubborn fatty deposits that resist dieting and exercise, and it can also be used to sculpt and shape the body for a more aesthetic appearance.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and patients can expect to see visible results after just a few weeks.

Vaser liposuction is a minimally invasive fat removal procedure that uses ultrasound energy to break down and remove unwanted fat. Vaser liposuction is less traumatic than traditional liposuction and has a number of benefits including faster recovery time. The Vaser technique removes large amounts of fat with less pain and downtime than traditional liposuction, reducing the risk of complications and side effects. Also, the Vaser technique gives superior results in terms of tissue coagulation, blood loss and skin retraction. As a result, patients who undergo Vaser liposuction experience less pain, bruising, swelling, and trauma than those who undergo traditional liposuction.

Procedure of the intervention

Before performing the liposuction, an infiltration of the areas to be aspirated with a vasoconstrictor and anesthetic solution is performed to limit bleeding and bruising. The surgeon introduces very fine cannulas through very short incisions (less than 4 millimeters) and proceeds to the aspiration of the deep fatty layer, taking care to avoid any irregularity, in order to harmonize the arms in a natural and aesthetic way. The use of fine cannulas avoids the formation of folds or waves after the intervention and promotes homogeneous and harmonious skin retraction. All these technical aspects allow a quick return home, a short recovery time and excellent results.

Results: Before /After

Duration, hospitalization, after Vaser liposuction

The treatment does not require hospitalization.

The surgical intervention sometimes requires a somewhat long operating time, between 3 and 5 hours of surgeries to be as precise and efficient as possible depending on the number and location of the areas to be operated on.

In most cases, the results are permanent. However, it is important to keep in mind that your lifestyle choices can impact the long-term results of the operation. For example, smoking can cause the skin to sag and reduce its elasticity, which can lead to a less than ideal result.

In addition, it is common to see edema (swelling) after the procedure, which usually disappears completely after 15 to 20 days. Bruises may also appear and last for about ten days. Although the pain is usually mild, it can be relieved with simple painkillers if needed.

You can resume a sports activity 4 to 6 weeks after the intervention. The final result will be obtained in 6 months.
